If you thought opera was just for adults, think again. Fox is a new, Australian opera aimed at children eight years+ and their families. This stunning tale of loyalty and betrayal is based on the popular children’s book by Margaret Wild and Ron Brooks. With puppetry, music and movement, the gothic, glamorous Fox will enthrall young audiences and adults alike with it’s powerful story of friendship and courage. Travelling Australia on a nationwide tour of 46 venues, you can catch Fox at Laycock Street Theatre early September. Free teachers notes are available- please contact the theatre directly.

From one end of the age spectrum to the other - in October we welcome the international sensation, Menopause The Musical®, an hilarious salute to women who are experiencing ‘The Change’. Described as “impossible not to laugh.” by The New York Times, we guarantee you’ll leave the theatre uplifted, joyous and itching to see it again. Inspired by a hot flush and a bottle of wine, Jeanie Linders created this unforgettable musical in celebration of women and the literal realisation that the menopause need no longer be a silent passage.

With Menopause The Musical® celebrating ‘the sisterhood’, we look to equal the gender balance in time for Father’s Day with all things Fair Dinkum aussie in Australia The Show.
